Privacy Policy
PhotoFit is an Android and iOS app for compressing, resizing, cropping, converting, and removing metadata from photos. Photo content is generally processed on the user's device and is not uploaded to the operator's server.
Summary: PhotoFit has no user accounts or operator-run cloud storage. Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics SDKs may nevertheless process advertising, device, and app-usage information as described below.
1. Information processed and purposes
| Category | Information | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Photos and outputs | Photos selected through the system picker and outputs created in the app | Compression, resizing, cropping, conversion, metadata removal, saving, and sharing |
| Local settings and history | Default quality and format, appearance, save count, and information needed for recent work | Remembering settings and showing recent work |
| App usage | Events such as number of selected photos, features used, dimensions, ratio, format, compression target and reduction, ad type, plus app-instance, device, OS, and app-version information | Feature measurement and product improvement through Firebase Analytics |
| Advertising | Depending on platform, region, consent, and settings: advertising identifiers, approximate location inferred from IP address, ad impressions and interactions, device, app, diagnostics, security, and invalid-traffic information | Ad delivery and measurement, frequency management, security, and fraud prevention through Google AdMob |
2. Photo processing and permissions
- The operator does not collect or store original photos or outputs on its own server.
- PhotoFit uses the Android system Photo Picker and the iOS system PhotosPicker to access only items selected by the user.
- On iOS, add-to-library permission is used when the user saves an output. Android save and share operations also occur only in response to user action.
- If the user shares an output, it is transferred to the selected app or service and is then governed by that service's policy.
- Depending on device settings, local app data may be handled by Google or Apple backup and device-transfer features.
3. Service providers and international processing
PhotoFit uses Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob provided by Google LLC. Google and relevant advertising or measurement providers may use servers or processors in multiple countries. Exact data, locations, and retention depend on platform, region, settings, consent status, and provider policies.
4. Retention and deletion
- Local settings and history may remain until the user clears app data or uninstalls the app.
- Saved outputs are controlled by the user in the photo library or selected destination.
- Advertising and analytics retention and deletion follow the operator's Google service settings and Google's policies.
- Because the operator has no account system or first-party server identifier, it may be unable to directly identify or independently delete a particular user's SDK data. The operator will explain available procedures on request.
5. User choices and rights
- Users can manage advertising identifiers, personalized ads, or tracking choices in device privacy and advertising settings.
- Photo access can be changed in operating-system settings. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local settings and history, subject to device backup behavior.
- Requests to exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, or objection rights may be sent to the email below.
6. Sale, disclosure, and safeguards
The operator does not sell photo content or personal information and does not voluntarily disclose information it holds to third parties except where required by law. SDK processing is governed by the purposes above and provider policies. The app is configured to use platform permissions and encrypted SDK communications as reasonable safeguards.
7. Children
PhotoFit is not directed primarily to children under 14, and the operator does not intend to knowingly collect children's personal information directly. If the operator learns of such processing, reasonable steps will be taken under applicable law and provider procedures.
8. Changes and contact
This policy may change with the service or applicable law. Material changes will be announced on this page or in the app before they take effect. Contact gwangy.claw@gmail.com with privacy questions.
