Frequently asked questions
Where are my projects stored?
Projects and drafts are normally kept in the app-specific storage on your device and are not uploaded to NativeLayoutStudio's own servers. They may be included in operating-system backup or device transfer depending on your settings, but restoration is not guaranteed. Export important projects as JSON for a separate copy.
Why did a selected image disappear?
A placeholder can appear if the original image was moved or deleted, or if access granted by the operating system expired. Select the image again from the asset or preview-background settings. The app does not copy originals to its own server and cannot recover a deleted source file.
Exporting JSON and PNG
- JSON preserves editable data such as the canvas, assets, positions, styles, and preview settings. An image URI is a reference and may not include the original image bytes.
- PNG creates a single shareable image of the current preview. It is not an editable project file.
Exports are sent only to the system share target or save location that you choose.
Can I change advertising and privacy choices?
In supported regions and app versions, you can reopen advertising consent from Privacy choices in Settings. Android advertising settings or iOS tracking settings also apply. Depending on your region and ad availability, limited ads may still be shown when personalized advertising is not accepted.
What happens if I uninstall the app or change devices?
Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove local projects. Before moving devices, keep a separate copy of important project JSON and source images, then verify that image references remain available on the new device.
What should I include in a problem report?
App version, device model, OS version, steps to reproduce, and a screenshot can help us investigate. Remove sensitive content from projects or images before attaching them. Do not send passwords or unnecessary personal information.
